§ The Chancellor of the Exchequermoved for a committee to inquire into the effect upon the 598 trade in spirits in Ireland of the repeal of the malt duty drawback in that part of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Redingtonsaid it was most extraordinary that the Government should make a proposition regarding Irish spirits part of their budget, and then refer it to a select committee.
