§ Sir G. Greybegged to ask the noble Lord the Secretary for the Colonies when his bill with respect to the Crown-lands in South Australia was to be brought forward; and, also, whether it were his intention to carry into effect the recommendation of the committee upon this subject?
Lord Stanleysaid that, in all essential particulars, the bill had been prepared at the time he first proposed to bring it in. It would be laid on the Table in a day or two. The delay had been occasioned by some technical difficulties in filling up the legal clauses. It was also his intention to bring in a bill to regulate the government of South Australia.
