§ Mr. Macaulaymoved, that a sum not exceeding 166,230l. be granted to her Majesty, to defray the charge of the embodied militia of Great Britain and Ireland for the year 1841–42.
§ Mr. Humesaid, that, under the circumstances of the House, he should not oppose the vote, but he considered this expense altogether useless, and hoped that in a new Parliament it might be saved.
