HC Deb 29 April 1841 vol 57 c1289

Visct. Morpeth moved the Order of the Day for the committal of the Drainage (Ireland) Bill.

Mr. F. Shaw

objected to the measure being proceeded with in the then state of the House. Most of the Members connected with Ireland, on both sides of the House, had gone away, and some were out of town, and it would be improper to proceed with it in their absence.

Mr. S. O'Brien

suggested that the Committee on the Bill be fixed for some; Wednesday at five o'clock.

Viscount Morpeth

consented to the postponement of the measure, which was postponed accordingly.
