§ The Speakersaid, that he had to acquaint the House that he had waited upon her Majesty with the Address of the House, to which her Majesty had been pleased to give the following most gracious answer:—"I thank you for your loyal and dutiful Address. I receive with satisfaction the assurance of your dutiful support in maintaining the authority of the Crown in my Canadian provinces. I rely with confidence on your zealous assistance in upholding the observance of the law, and on your careful consideration of the weighty matters in which you will be engaged."
