said, he had to acquaint the House that the House had yesterday attended her Majesty with the address, and that her Majesty had been pleased to deliver the following gracious answer from the Throne:—

"I thank you for your loyal and dutiful Address. It is my anxious wish to see my people happy and united. I rely with confidence on the temper and wisdom of the House of Commons, on their resolution to support the dignity of the Crown, and their desire to promote the welfare of the whole community."
