HC Deb 11 August 1836 vol 35 c1150

On the motion for bringing up the report of the Bribery at Elections Bill,

Colonel Sibthorp

had strong and insuperable objections to the measure. He moved as an amendment, that the House do adjourn.

Two divisions took place on motions for adjournment, and though the minority was only three, it was found necessary to defer the further consideration of the report.

After a short discussion the further consideration of the Report was deferred till to-morrow.
