§ Colonel Sibthorpopposed the Motion in consequence of the lateness of the hour. It appeared to him that there was something like a collusion between the late and the present Attorney-General with respect to the Bill on this subject.
§ The Attorney-Generalremarked that the Bill had been recommended by a Commission, of which the Ecclesiastical Judges were members, and, therefore, it could not be considered a measure of a party.
