The Chancellor of the Exchequersaid:—I have received an intimation from his Majesty, that arrangements for the formation of a new Government are in progress, but that they have not yet been finally completed. Under these circumstances, I cannot doubt that 994 the same motives which induced the House on a former day to consent to a short adjournment will still influence them, and that, from considerations of convenience to the public service, they will now agree to a similar Motion. I therefore beg leave to move, that the House, at its rising, do adjourn till Thursday next.
§ Adjourned accordingly.
