rose to bring forward his Motion respecting the Currency, but the hon. Gentleman had not proceeded far in his speech when

Mr. Divett moved, that the House be counted.

Mr. Thomas Attwood

said, that this was a most unfair way to get rid of the Motion.

Forty Members, however, were present, and Mr. Thomas Attwood proceeded.

Mr. Rigby Wason moved, that the House be counted, and forty Members not being present, the House adjourned.
