§ Lord Althorpgave notice of his intention to, bring in bills, on the 3rd of March, for Consolidating the Customs and the Stamp 131 Duties. With respect to the latter, he begged to observe, that some misunderstanding had gone abroad on the subject of his views, with reference to the Irish Stamp Duties; and it had been reported that he meant to propose the same addition of duties for Ireland which the right hon. Gentleman (Mr. Goulburn) proposed last Session. This was a mistake. It was not his intention to make any alteration in the Stamp duties of Ireland.
