HC Deb 19 April 1826 vol 15 c371

Mr. C. Pelham moved his resolution for occasionally holding the parliament in the capitals of the kingdom other than in London. The hon. member prefaced his motion with a few words, which were inaudible in the gallery. The first resolution set forth, that the High Court of Parliament and the Supreme Judicature of the kingdom, ought, from the great increase of the population, and the additional activity which pervaded all classes throughout the country, to be held, from time to time, in the different capitals of the kingdom, instead of being confined to London.

The motion was not seconded, and fell consequently to the ground.
