The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented the following Message from the King:

"GEORGE R.

"His majesty, taking into consideration that, since parliament made pro- vision for the maintenance of her royal highness the duchess of Kent, and his royal highness the duke of Cumberland, her highness the princess Alexandrina Victoria of Kent, and his highness prince George Frederick Alexander Charles Ernest Augustus of Cumberland, have been born, and have attained an age at which it is proper that adequate provision should be made for their honourable support and education; and his majesty being desirous of granting an annuity to her royal highness the duchess of Kent, and to his royal highness the duke of Cumberland, for that purpose, recommends the consideration thereof to the House, and relies upon the attachment of his faithful Commons to adopt such measures as may be suitable to the occasion.
