§ Mr. Manning,on moving for a Return of the Balances in the hands of the Trustees of Ramsgate Harbour, said, he wished to contradict a very unfounded report which had gone forth, that an hon. baronet (sir W. Curtis) held balances to a large amount in his hands. It was not true that his hon. friend had acted as treasurer; and he was so far from ever having held any of the money of the trustees in his hands, that he had himself advanced a considerable sum towards the expenses of the harbour.
§ Mr. Wallacebore testimony to the honourable character of the worthy baronet in question, and expressed his conviction, that there was not the slightest ground for any imputation upon it.
§ The motion was agreed to.
