HC Deb 07 July 1820 vol 2 c291
Mr. Beaumont

rose to give notice of an address to his majesty, praying that the Royal Coronation might be suspended until the termination of the proceedings now pending against her Majesty.

Lord Castlereagh

said, that the motion of which the hon. member had just given notice, was unnecessary, because his majesty had already signified his intention, that the ceremony of the coronation shall not take place on the day originally named, nor was any other day fixed for that purpose. He wished to be distinctly understood, that the postponement of the coronation was not in consequence of any proceedings respecting her majesty.

The notice was withdrawn.
