HC Deb 03 May 1804 vol 24 cc223-4
BARON H. DE WORMS (Liverpool, East Toxteth)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is now able to give any further information relative to the state of affairs in Swaziland; whether the Queen Regent declines to assent to the transfer of the government of the country to the Transvaal Republic, and is supported by the Native population and by the bulk of the British settlors; and whether he will present Papers on the subject?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Mr. S. BUXTON,) Tower Hamlets, Poplar

The whole matter is still in the stage of negotiation. Further Papers will be presented in due course.
