HC Deb 03 May 1804 vol 24 c241
MR. TOMLLNSON

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when the Government propose that the Debate on the Second Heading of the Railway and Canal Traffic Bill should take place?

SIR W. HARCOURT

I am afraid that I am not able at present to fix a date.

MR. TOMLINSON

May we hope for some assurance from the Government that they will take steps to press the Bill forward?

SIR W. HARCOURT

I hope so.
