HC Deb 19 November 1940 vol 365 c1803
11. Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that many Greenock men who joined up in local units at the beginning of the war have had no leave and are stationed in distant parts of Scotland; and what action he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. Eden

So far as I am aware, there is no foundation for the implication contained in my hon. and learned Friend's Question in respect of leave, but if he will give me particulars of the cases he has in mind, I will have inquiries made.
