HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 c1174
7. Mr. DAVIDSON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the number of treaties or agreements between nations that have been placed before the League of Nations for consideration?

Mr. EDEN

I am not quite clear what the hon. Member has in mind. All treaties between Members of the League are registered with the League of Nations and are published in the League Treaty Series.

Mr. DAVIDSON

Could not we have that number?

Mr. EDEN

The hon. Member asked the number of treaties which have been considered by the League. That would require more research than we have time for.

Mr. POTTS

With what countries are we identified by way of agreement?

8. Mr. DAVIDSON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether Great Britain is involved in any treaties with other nations since 1931; and, if so, how many?

Mr. EDEN

The texts of all treaties or agreements entered into by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom will be found in the Treaty Series of Parliamentary Papers.

Mr. DAVIDSON

Have these treaties been submitted, in accordance with the Covenant of the League of Nations, to the League?

Mr. EDEN

Of course.
