HC Deb 15 December 1936 vol 318 c2256
35. Mr. BOOTHBY

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is now in a position to announce the policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to oats?

Mr. ELLIOT

I regret I am not yet in a position to add anything to the answers which I gave on this subject on 24th November.

Mr. BOOTHBY

Can the right hon. Gentleman tell us how many more years are to pass before the Government make up their minds?

Mr. ELLIOT

If the price of oats continues to rise as it has done recently it may be a long time.

Mr. BOOTHBY

I give notice that I shall raise this matter on the Motion for Adjournment.
