HC Deb 30 July 1931 vol 255 c2444
39. Mr. MORLEY

asked the Minister of Health the number of private nursing homes in London and the provinces; how many inspections of these establishments have been carried out during the last 12 months; and what were the general findings of such inspections?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The administration of the Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1927, including the registration of homes and the inspection of premises, is in the hands of the local supervising authorities established under the Act, usually the councils of counties and county boroughs, and I am afraid that the information desired by my hon. Friend is not in my possession.
