HC Deb 19 March 1891 vol 351 c1418
MR. MAC NEILL (Donegal, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any, and, if so, what steps have been taken to recover a sum of £294 5s. improperly paid by the Accountant General of the Army to Messrs. Cox and Co., bankers, as commission to that firm in their capacity as agents of the East Surrey Regiment, which item has already formed the subject of a Report by the Comptroller and Auditor General; and whether any application has yet been made to Messrs. Cox and Co. for the recovery of the sum in question?

*THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. E. STANHOPE,) Lincolnshire, Horncastle
