HC Deb 08 March 1888 vol 323 cc568-9
MR. T. E. ELLIS (Merionethshire)

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, Whether the Commissioners on Civil Establishments will make an inquiry into the position of the Customs or Principal Coast Officers; and, if so, when it is likely to be taken?

THE SECRETARY (Mr. JACKSON) (Leeds, N)

I am informed that the Commissioners see no prospect of being able to enter upon an examination into the Customs Department during the present Session of Parliament.
