asked Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Whether he will lay upon the Table of the House a Statement showing the total amount of the National Debt as at 31st March, 1887; what portion of the permanent charge of £26,000,000 will be paid for interest; the sum payable for Terminable Annuities; the sum payable for management; and how much will be available for the reduction of Debt?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Mr. GOSCHEN) (St. George's, Hanover Square)
