asked the Secretary of State for War, If the Egyptian Government has any control over the movements of the British troops stationed in Egypt and supported by Egyptian revenues?

No, Sir; it has not. I should, perhaps, explain that Egyptian revenues are only charged with the excess of cost of the maintenance of the troops in that country over and above what they would cost in this country.
