Definition

• Set up under Memorandum of Understanding between UK government and devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland setting out principles underlying relations between them (Cm 5240). This committee considers joint or coordinated action to tackle poverty and social exclusion and share best practice across all parts of UK. Membership consists of Ministers from all 4 administrations, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and is chaired by the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
