Definition

• Set up under Memorandum of Understanding between UK Government and devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland setting out principles underlying relations between them (Cm 5240). This committee pursues the common interest in developing a modern NHS ensuring best practice across all administrations. Membership consists of Ministers from all 4 administrations, plus the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Secretary of State for Health and chaired by the Prime Minister.
