Definition
  • The Deputy Prime Minister's Office (DPMO) is a non-constitutional office, only being formed when a deputy prime minister is appointed. The office is not an official single department and as such is part of, and organised by, the Cabinet Office. Created July 1995 following Cabinet reshuffle; ceased to exist in 2007. Reinstated in May 2010 following the General Election and coalition agreement. No appointment was made to this office following the general election of 2015. Not to be confused with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
