Procedure determination period ends Notes

A step of type Business step.

A committee in the House of Commons and a committee in the House of Lords examines all legislative reform orders. They consider whether the minister has recommended the appropriate level of scrutiny and can require a higher level. Both committees have 30 days to do this. The period of 30 days begins with the day on which the draft order was laid before Parliament

Scope note: The first 30 days applies for all procedures in the wider LRO procedure.
