Ministerial statement laid before the House of Lords: objection period A extended (House of Lords)

House of Lords

A step of type Business step.

Government can issue a statement if they wish to extend the objection period A of a treaty subject to the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010. The statement can be laid at any point during objection period A as long as a motion to not ratify the treaty has not been approved in either House. The objection period can also be extended multiple times.
