§ Mr. IngramThe SA80 modification programme began in December 2001 and is expected to be completed by March 2006. A total of 190,000 weapons will be modified at a cost of £92 million including trials and training. As at 1 August 2003 some 79,000 SA80 A2 had been issued to units.
