§ Mr. CabornThe business case for a merger between the Community Fund and the New Opportunities Fund is strong, but we shall consult further with the voluntary sector and other interested parties before determining the nature of the new body. Proposals emerging from these discussions will be included in a White Paper later this year, which would provide a 12-week consultation period, in accordance with the compact.
