To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on bilateral relations with Finland. [77184]

Mr. MacShane

Bilateral relations are good. My right hon. Friend the Prime Minister last met the Finnish Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen bilaterally in London on 21 October and my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary met his Finnish opposite Erkki Tuomioja on 27 September. We are close EU partners and trading with Finland.
