To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what(a) amount and (b) share of pre-tax income accrued to the (i) top 1 per cent., (ii) top 5 per cent., (iii) top 10 per cent., (iv) top 25 per cent., (v) bottom 70 per cent., (vi) bottom 5 per cent. and (vii) all taxpayers in 2000–01; and what the (A) amount and (B) share of tax liability was for each of these groups.
