§ Mr. HuttonThe table shows the hospital and community health services expenditure on non-NHS nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff as a percentage of total revenue expenditure on salaries and648W wages in England, for the financial years 1997 –98 to 2000 –01. The non-NHS staff figures include all nurses, midwives and health visiting staff not directly employed by the NHS. The 2000 –01 figures are the latest available and are provisional.
