§ Mr. Byers[holding answer 23 November 2001]: Phase 1 of the project, which commenced in 1999, provides capacity improvements to the Leeds Station area and is expected to be completed by 2004–05. The Strategic Rail Authority is continuing to take forward project development work on the upgrade.
