To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many service personnel have been absent without leave in each of the last 10 years, broken down by service. [14376]

The numbers of service personnel recorded as being absent without leave, by individual service, during each of the last 10 years up to 31 December 2000, are shown in the table.
