The Government recommended the findings of the Social Services Inspectorate reportA Hidden Disability to social services departments and other agencies involved in the care of people with traumatic brain injury, and supported a follow-up event to reinforce the messages from the report. In addition, the Government has asked the National Institute for Clinical Excellence to develop a guideline for the management of people with severe head injury.
