Arrest to sentence times for persistent young offenders in England and Wales are available from 1996 only, and by police force area from 1997 only. Arrest to sentence times by police force area can be found in the Lord Chancellor's Department Press Notice (issue 154–99–table 2) for 1997 and 1998 and the Lord Chancellor's Department Statistical Bulletin (issue 3/2000–table 2) for 1999 and the first two quarters of 2000. Copies have been placed in the House of Commons Library.
