To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what estimate he has made of the number of heavy goods vehicles driven through Gawcott(a) in each of the five years before the opening of the Tingewick Bypass and (b) since its opening. [133225]

Buckinghamshire county council have undertaken the following daytime counts of heavy goods vehicles, in both directions, on the C29 minor road from Gawcott to Tingewick, both before and after the A421 Tingewick Bypass opened to traffic on 16 October 1998:
