§ Yvette CooperMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health does not have the power to review the "Ill Health Retirement Guidelines for Occupational Physicians". The guidelines were produced by a working party of the Association of Local Authority Medical Advisers (ALAMA) to help doctors arrive at equitable decisions when assessing applications for ill health retirement.
