§ Mr. SpellarTwo reviews of security have been conducted by the National Security Agency at RAF Menwith Hill since 1993. As the then Minister for the Armed Forces stated in his answer of 11 March 1998,Official Report, columns 196-97, a review was conducted in April 1997. The second review was undertaken on site in January 1998 and was finalised by the US authorities at the end of March that year. My Department was made aware of the contents of both reports at the time.
