To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what estimate he has made of the total amount of greenfield land in respect of which (1) developers have been granted options, broken down by regions; [98065]

(2) planning permission for new development has been granted, broken down by region; [98066]

(3) applications for planning permission are currently pending, broken down by region. [98067]

Estimates of the proportion of new development on previously developed land are published annually in the statistical Bulletin series "Land Use Change in England". The next edition, issue number 14, will be published shortly.
