§ Ms Beverley HughesWe have sought to improve the fairness of the Standard Spending Assessments over the last two years. But we want to see whether there is a better way of determining the distribution of revenue support grant that is simpler, more stable, more robust, and fairer than the present arrangements for SSAs. We are pursuing this in the review described in the White Paper "Modern Local Government—In touch with the People".
