§ Mr. Andrew Smith[holding answer 21 May 1999]: ES New Deal Personal Advisers receive up to 46 days training, specifically designed to help them deliver the New Deal. The type and duration of training varies depending on which particular New Deal individual Personal Advisers are delivering.
It includes training in interviewing, in work benefits and allowance payments, how to deal with special client groups and how to manage a case load of New Deal participants.
