Mr. Beith

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the total expenditure per police force in each of the last five years; what amount and proportion of that expenditure was spent on police pensions; what was the real terms change in total expenditure apart from police pensions per police force; what is the expected change in the proportion of total police spending which will be spent on pensions in each of the next three years; and if he will make a statement.
