Mr. Jon Owen Jones(a)(b) Figures for Ml, which consist of salary costs of only the more senior managers, together with the costs of management consultancy and M2, which adds in the salary costs of all other staff who work in corporate management function of NHS trusts, are available for 1995–96 to 1997–98. Prior to the introduction of the M1 and M2 measures, figures are given for "management costs".
(c) Information on management consultancy costs is not held centrally.
