§ Mr. FatchettWe have long recognised the potential problems that could be caused internationally by the millennium bug. The UK is working hard to raise global awareness. Reliable information is difficult to obtain. However, we are working closely with other countries and international organisations to build up a picture of the state of readiness around the world in order to minimise potential disruption caused by millennium bug failures and to address potential consequences for British interests.
