To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what discussions his Department has had with the Treasury regarding an exemption for protected horticulture from the proposed climate change levy. [92299]

MAFF officials have discussed the Climate Change Levy with the Treasury. MAFF and Treasury Ministers are aware of the concerns being expressed by the horticultural industry about the impact the Climate Change Levy might have on sectoral competitiveness.
