To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what measures are(a) in place and (b) planned to prevent the purchase of non-duty paid excise goods through the internet. [92767]

HM Customs and Excise are aware of the risks from this form of smuggling. Staff at postal and courier depots have been alerted and Customs are looking separately at the wider issues involved.
